Jessica got her degree in Theatre and English from Flagler College in Saint Augustine, Fl before moving to Chicago several years ago. Shortly after moving here she was introduced to devised theatre and fell in love with the art form. She has collaborated on and acted in devised plays and performances every chance she can get since then. She believes theatre is an excellent way to facilitate community dialogue and discussion about issues ranging from the political to the intensely personal.
When she is not busy with devised work, she loves performing in more traditional plays, and the occasional sketch comedy show. She is also a staff member at The Neo-Futurists. Most recently she could be seen on stage in Collaboraction's FranzFest, and in the Saturday Series staged reading of Death Tax at Chicago Dramatists. She is thrilled to be an Artistic Associate of 16th Street Theater, and to be taking part in her first production with the company as an understudy for the roles of Melinda and Windsong in The Crowd You're In With. |
