SUZETTE MAYOBRE is honored to be returning
to 16th Street Theater, where she appeared in Kita
y Fernanda during its inaugural season. She is also thrilled
to be back for round two of Our
Lady of the Underpass!
Originally from Miami, FL, Suzette has been in Chicago for
a few years, having been taken under the wings of the ladies
of Teatro Luna, where she is an Artistic Ensemble Member.
Teatro Luna credits include, most recently, Solo Tu
and Lunaticas, as well as S-e-x-Oh! and
The Maria Chronicles. Other theater credits
includeEclipse Theatre’s Sextet: A Night of One Acts,
The Sins of Sor Juana with Teatro Vista, Transients
Welcome: Room 17C and Mouth of the River.
Along with staged readings at the Victory Gardens, Chicago
Dramatists and Teatro Vista, she has also worked on several
commercials, industrials, voice-overs and independent films.
Suzette is grateful for this opportunity and would like to
thank Sandra Marquez and all of the wonderful people at Teatro
Vista, as well as the talented Tanya Saracho, Ann Filmer and
the 16th Street Theater, her husband Dave, her parents, in-laws,
